Golf Shop

The Madison Golf Shop offers a wide variety of the latest and best in apparel and equipment, with a professional staff available to answer any questions you might have. The shop carries top selling brands of equipment such as Callaway, Odyssey and we can order any equipment we don’t carry. All equipment can be custom-fitted by our staff. We have balls available from Callaway, Bridgestone, Titleist for men and women.

The latest in ladies fashion apparel is available from Cutter & Buck, SunIce and the Greg Norman Collection. Gentlemen may choose for the hottest styling of Greg Norman, Donald Ross, SunIce. Golf shoes are available from Foot-Joy, New Balance. We have a wide variety of hats and visors and all golf accessories.

We also have Madison Golf Club logoed Tervis Tumblers, glassware, and YRI Belts. If you don’t see what you need, our staff will be happy to order it for you.

Before, after, or during your round, we have a selection of cold beverages and snacks available in the golf shop.

 

Golf Professionals

Ryan Druska – Head Golf Professional

Ryan is a native of North Carolina and his professional experience also includes working at prestigious clubs in Illinois and North Carolina.   He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Methodist University with a concentration in Professional Golf Management (“PGM”) and Marketing. Ryan also completed a series on PGA PGM internships at well-established clubs in North Carolina, including Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst. Ryan was formerly the First Assistant Golf Professional at Spring Lake Golf Club, Spring Lake NJ. Prior to Spring Lake G. C., Ryan was the First Assistant Golf Professional at John’s Island Club, Vero Beach, Florida.

Ryan is committed to player development and has extensive teaching experience for players of all levels, as well as managing various Women’s and Junior programs.  In 2019 and 2020, he was both a NJPGA Teacher of the Year and NJPGA Junior Player Development Nominee.  He holds multiple Titleist Performance Institute Certifications and is knowledgeable in the use of many current teaching tools.

Ryan is an accomplished competitor highlighted by 2 top 10 finishes in 2020: NJPGA National Car Rental Assistant Professional Championship and the Frosty Pro Pro Championship.

 

Andy Azzarello – Assistant Golf Professional / Operations Manager

Andy was born and raised in Moon Township, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Methodist University with a concentration in Professional Golf Management.  Andy spent two years working at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin prior to the U.S. Open being held there in 2017.  After Erin Hills Andy went to Arizona working at Encanterra Country Club where is became the First Assistant Golf Professional after two years.  After leaving Arizona he moved back to the east coast for an assistant’s position at Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Virginia.  He then accepted an Assistant Golf Professional position at TPC Boston where he worked for 3 years.

Andy likes to devote time to player development and has experience with all skill levels of play.  His focus is to help you make the game more enjoyable for yourself.  Whether that is playing your best round or honing in on a specific skill.

 

Stephen Brown – Assistant Golf Professional

Stephen was born and raised in southern New Jersey near Atlantic City. He started playing golf in his freshman year of high school, falling in love with the game. While serving in the US Navy, Stephen started teaching junior golf clinics at the local course and started thinking of a career in golf. After an honorable discharge from the Navy,

Stephen attended Cook College at Rutgers University for Meteorology. His first job in golf was at Foresgate CC as Assistant Professional. Stephen also worked at Canoe Brook CC for a year before getting his first Head Golf Professional job at Glenwood CC. Stephen joined Madison Golf Club in 2015.

Stephen and his wife Beverly and have a daughter. In his spare time, Stephen volunteers for the Summit First Aid Squad as an EMT. Stephen has also coached grade softball and he sits on the board of community programs for Summit.

 

Golf Staff

Steve Miller

Born in Fairfield Ca, Steve grew up in the Rochester, NY area. Steve Graduated from Morrisville, NY Tech College worked for Allied Chemical, then Honeywell and later for Prudential Insurance. Steve joined Madison Golf Club in 1995.  Steve currently lives in Madison with his wife Marie. Steve’s interests include golf, gardening and wood working.  Steve is a member of the Madison Shade Tree Management Board. He has three grandchildren.

 

Ken Vandervoort

Ken served 4 years in the Coast Guard from 1967 – 1971.  Ken did some traveling before taking advantage of the G.I. bill and attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA from 1985 – 1987.  Ken was fortunate to get work as an assistant to Ranan Lurie, renowned editorial cartoonist and caricaturist from 1991 – 1994 in NYC.

From 1995 to present Ken has been working in computer graphics web design/animation & calligraphy in addition to traditional work which includes doing sports cartoons for Comics Sherpa www.comicssherpa.com along with some commission and freelance work.  Ken’s work can be found on his website at www.sportsbyvoort.com.  Ken joined Madison Golf Club in 1995.
